Hi Nasim/Spencer, I'm an avid amateur and have two camera bodies: D3200 and D610 and some 13 F mount lenses. I started serious photography in 2012 and that set the ball rolling. I'm more than happy with my set and I've learned to use the above mentioned kit to some extent. Some how I've contracted the mirrorless bug! Whenever I see Nikon I feel they're still in diapers as compared to Sony who're at the forefront of mirrorless tech. I've been ogling at the Sony A7c and the daunting kit I own makes me come back to Nikon Z series. I'm really torn between Nikon and Sony. I don't make money out of photography; strict 'hobbyist'. Whenever I take the chunky DSLR out, I feel why do I need to really spend any more on a mirrorless. I've primes starting from 35mm DX, 50mm f/1.8: the D and G, 85mm f/1.8, 20mm f/1.8, 105mm f/2.8 VR(macro), kit 18-105mm DX, 24-120mm f/4 VR FX, 70-300mm Tamron and Nikon 70-300mm FX Old one now out of production but a gem, 150-600mm Tamron, Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8, Tamron 15-30mm f/2.8 VR. They're all in perfect working condition and give me a lot of satisfaction everyday I take them out. Would it make more sense to get a D500 or a mirrorless for my sort of 'enjoyment' I don't call it work, coz I enjoy photography and use it as a way of relaxation.
